As per the tweet posted recently by the official Twitter of Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater, the upcoming remake of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater released 19 years ago on PS2, will feature story and character voices that "remain the same" as the original game.
However, the tweet's ambiguous wording raised speculation about whether Konami will reuse the voice recordings from the original game or cast the same voice actors to record new lines.
To provide clarification on this issue, Konami's head of communications for the Americas, Tommy Williams, who spoke with TheVerge, has confirmed that the upcoming remake will indeed “reuse the voice lines from the original game with no changes", officially addressing all the speculations that have been circulating online.
Although some fans may find it disappointing that the remake will not feature new voices and lines in the same vein as the recent critically-acclaimed remake of Resident Evil 4, others may view it as an opportunity for a nostalgic experience that they can eagerly look forward to.
According to the official introduction, Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater sets out to faithfully recreate the original storyline and game design, enhancing the gameplay with stunning visuals and seamless user experience.
