The PlayStation 5 Access accessibility controller, designed by Sony in collaboration with accessibility organizations and experts for disabled gamers, has officially announced its global release on December 6. This controller aims to provide a more comfortable and extended gaming experience for players with disabilities, allowing more individuals to enjoy the pleasure of gaming!
According to the official introduction, the suggested retail price (SRP) for the PS5 Access controller is SGD 128.90 / MYR 449 / IDR 1,649,000 / THB 3,090 / PHP 5,090 / VND 2,599,000. This controller allows for customization of layouts with various shapes and designs for buttons and thumbsticks. It supports 360° directional operation and also includes four industry-standard 3.5mm expansion ports for connecting third-party accessories.
Not only that, the PS5 console also provides various settings for this controller to accommodate different players' gameplay styles and needs. For example, users can create up to 30 control profiles, adjust joystick settings, set button presses to toggle commands on/off or to serve as a single-press input, or completely disable buttons to prevent accidental pressing. It is even possible to link the Access controller with other PlayStation controllers and use them in conjunction with each other.
Starting from July 21, players from Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, and Vietnam can begin pre-ordering from selected retailers. As for players based in Singapore, pre-orders will be available at a later date.
