Naughty Dog has released a hotfix for the PC and Steam Deck versions of The Last Of Us Part I, in response to the backlash directed at the game's performance issues on these platforms. The primary focus of the hotfix is to enhance stability and performance, as the studio states that this will be the initial patch in a series aimed at resolving the game's current issues.
The developers have mentioned that they are currently working on further enhancements and investigations based on the feedback received from users. The hotfix they released includes additional diagnostic tools to help with the investigation of crashes related to shader building and other stability issues.

The Last of Us Part 1, a remake developed by Naughty Dog, was initially released on the PS5 platform in September 2022. After more than six months, the game was also made available on PC, but received mostly negative reviews upon its release due to poor optimization.
