The Last of Us Part 1 PC port heavily bashed on Steam due to poor optimization

The remake of The Last of Us under Naughty Dog, The Last of Us Part 1, was released in September 2022 on the PS5 platform. After more than half a year, the game has also been released on PC, but received mostly negative reviews on its first day of release.

The reason for this was not unexpected - the common issue of optimization. However, the situation seems to be more severe for The Last of Us Part 1. For example, issues such as slow shaders, crashes, stutters, and CPU overload are prevalent, indicating a multitude of optimization problems for the PC version. Naughty Dog have stated that they are reviewing player feedback and will release patches to address the issues as soon as possible.
