本作《SD Gundam Battle Alliance》中集结来自＂机动战士高达＂系列各种MS及角色，是一款跨越各作品世界观共同演出的新型态SD高达动作RPG作品，而玩家将担任小队长，率领3架机体所组成的1个共同战线小队，与各种MS及驾驶员一同挑战任务。此外，在游戏中能以震撼的外观与生动的操作表现展开连击动作，自由运用MS的多种武装攻击敌方机体，体现爽快感的连击动作。玩家将可以亲手操控外观因在战场活动而呈现旧化，动作却依然充满魄力的MS。与此同时，玩家还可以与2架僚机一同出击，挑战各种任务。在多人游玩时，可与2名好友合作，3人一同奔驰战场。是一款1至3人都能乐在其中的新型态SD高达动作RPG游戏。
