《英雄传说:黎之轨迹2 猩红之罪》故事背景会延续在卡尔瓦德共和国，同样也会以范恩·亚克莱德为主角，讲述着在黑手党组织 Armata 的威胁消失后，卡尔瓦德共和国开始恢复了过往的和平，但在某一天，首都的一个角落里发生了一件离奇的事件，那就是发现一个 CID (中央情报局) 的特种作战小队遭到大屠杀。因此，卡尔瓦德警察以及游击士协会开始调查此事，同时也感觉到新的混乱时期即将到来，地下派系也开始了行动。另外，万事屋「亚克莱德事务所」迎来了一位意想不到的人物，范恩也开始了他的调查 ....
