《审判之眼：死神的遗言》是一款 SEGA 开发的动作冒险游戏，故事与《人中之龙》系列采用相同世界观，故事描述八神隆过去曾任杀人案嫌疑人大久保新平的辩护律师，当时在舆论极为不利的情况下，漂亮地获得无罪判决而一时声名大噪，但当事人被释放后不久，竟犯下残杀同居女友并且对住所公寓纵火之罪行，八神的评价因此一落千丈，并且被大众称为「纵放凶恶杀人凶手的冒牌律师」，也让他失去了先前建立的一切声誉，并自此离开了律师的工作。
