The famous racing game series Gran Turismo, developed by Polyphony Digital, has been released on various generations of PlayStation platforms, from PS1 to PS5, with a total of eight titles. Recently, Sony Pictures announced that they will be producing a live-action film adaptation of the series, which is set to premiere on August 11. The official trailer and poster have also been released at the same time.

The story of this live-action film adaptation of Gran Turismo is based on the real-life styory of player Jann Mardenborough, who won a series of gaming competitions and eventually became a professional racer. The film will be directed by Neill Blomkamp, the director of District 9 and Elysium.
