Baki Hanma, the anime adaptation of the manga series Baki, created by Japanese manga artist Keisuke Itagaki, has released a trailer for the first arc of its second season, dubbed The Tale of Pickle & The Pickle War Saga. Season 2 is set to premiere exclusively on Netflix on July 26, 2023. Additionally, the second arc, The Father VS Son Saga, will debut on August 24, 2023.
The Tale of Pickle & The Pickle War Saga features Pickle, a prehistoric man from the Cretaceous period, who was unearthed and miraculously revived. Feasting on tyrannosaurs and dominating the food chain, Pickle possesses a mighty physique and ferocity that far surpasses modern humans. Upon hearing of this, Baki, Yuujiro Hanma, and others gather to witness the battle between the strongest of the modern era versus the strongest of the Cretaceous era, which will determine the ultimate champion on Earth. Meanwhile, The Father VS Son Saga depicts the final showdown between Baki and Yuujiro Hanma.
