At last year's Ubisoft Forward event, Ubisoft announced multiple new entries in the Assassin's Creed franchise, including Assassin's Creed: Mirage, Assassin's Creed: Red, Assassin's Creed: Hexe, Assassin's Creed: Jade, as well as the rumoured Assassin's Creed: Invictus and Assassin's Creed: Nexus. These entries will cover different genres, such as single-player games, multiplayer games, VR games, and mobile games.
And you thought that's it? Frequent leaker Tom Henderson recently revealed that Ubisoft has plans to release four additional unannounced titles codenamed Nebula, Raid, Echoes, and Nexus 2. The first three are currently in the conceptual and prototyping stages, and will be developed by different teams.
- Nebula - A game set in India, the Aztec Empire, and the Mediterranean.
- Raid - A free-to-play four players co-op game.
- Echoes - A multiplayer game that utilizes Ubisoft's Scalar technology.
- Nexus 2 - A planned sequel for the abovementioned Nexus.
According to sources, Assassin's Creed: Mirage is planned for release in August this year, followed by Assassin's Creed: Nexus and then Assassin's Creed: Red in 2024. Assassin's Creed: Invictus is reportedly scheduled for 2025 and Assassin's Creed: Hexe for 2026. However, these are only rumors and speculations, and official announcements from Ubisoft are still awaited for confirmation.
