CAPCOM previously announced that their side-scrolling action game Mega Man X DiVE would cease operation on September 27, 2023. However, they later unveiled plans for the game to return in the form of an offline version.
After much anticipation, the official announcement has been made today that Mega Man X DiVE Offline is set to be released on September 1, 2023, available on Steam, iOS, and Android. Priced at 3,990 yen, pre-orders are now open on Steam.
Mega Man X DiVE Offline features a wealth of character-developing elements where players can enhance their characters and weapons, crafting a unique avatar within the game. Notably, the game includes appearances from over 100 characters from series like Mega Man X, Mega Man Legends, and Mega Man Battle Network, as well as more than 900 challenging stages awaiting players.
The game's central narrative revolves around the Mega Man X series, featuring an alternate timeline where players encounter a brand-new Mega Man. Here, players can utilize classic actions from the Mega Man X series, such as dashing, jumping, blaster shots, and saber attacks, to combat enemies. The game also incorporates features like auto-targeting and 360° shooting, enhancing the fluidity of gameplay.
