The Japanese manga series Ya Boy Kongming! ("Paripi Koumei"), created by Yuto Yotsuba with illustrations by Ryou Ogawa and serialized on Comic DAYS, has officially announced the release of a TV anime compilation film titled Paripi Koumei Road to Summer Sonia. The film is scheduled to premiere in Japanese theaters on March 1, 2024.
The story of Ya Boy Kongming! describes the famous military strategist Zhuge Kongming from the Three Kingdoms period, who suffered a devastating blow from the failure of five northern expeditions and the worsening of his illness, eventually passing away at the age of 54. However, he unexpectedly reincarnates in modern-day Shibuya, Japan, where he meets the singer-songwriter Eiko Tsukimi. From there, he begins to act as her strategist in order to help her achieve her dream.
