本作《The Callisto Protocol》游戏背景故事设定在 2320 年的木卫四星球上，玩家将在游戏中扮演一名囚犯，从安保森严的黑铁监狱中逃出来，揭开藏在此处的秘密，当然在玩家还未逃脱之前会遇到各种各样的恐怖事情，在未逃出之前，首要的任务就是先存活下来。
