外媒 Gematsu 发现 Square Enix 在 12 月 1 日期间申请注册了「Chocobo GP」以及「Chocobo Grand Prix」商标，通常开发商也注册了相关商标大多数都是为了新作或者相关作品做准备，而且这个商标名称令人猜测很大可能会是《Chocobo Racing》系列的全新作品，准确消息还是有待日后官方正式发表。
《Chocobo Racing》发售于 1999 年，是一款竞速类型游戏，玩家可以选择各种角色以及特殊能力，并且在竞速期间自动累计发动，过程中还可以获得魔石来获得更特殊的能力，只要懂得利用这些能力，便可取得更前面的排名。
