改编自 SEGA 旗下的经典游戏作品《Sonic》系列真人版电影《Sonic the Hedgehog 2》于今日释出宣传海报，同时官方还表示他们将在 12 月 10 日举办的 The Game Awards 颁奖典礼上公布首支电影预告片。《Sonic the Hedgehog 2》预定将在 4 月 9 日抢先于美国上线，其余地区上映时间还未公布。
真人版《Sonic the Hedgehog》在一开始公布的时候，因为 Sonic 的脸部与大家熟知不一样而引起粉丝不买单的抗议，在经过官方的修正后，电影不仅获得好评外还突破了《Pokemon 名侦探皮卡丘》的票房记录，而《Sonic the Hedgehog 2》也接应了第一集中塔爾斯小弟登场的彩蛋。
