根据先前的介绍，《Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak》故事将从离开神火村前往新的调查据点开始，而本次的封面魔物是名为「爵银龙」的新古龙种，以此同时还会有来自《Monster Hunter 2》的旧魔物「将军蟹」登场。另外，其内容还分别包括全新的故事、原野、魔物、动作以及 MR 等级。
