根据本次发表的消息，新作《Dragon Quest 12:The Flames Of Fate》游戏设定偏向更加黑暗的故事叙述，同时战斗系统也会迎来全新的重大改变，提供玩家崭新的体验，更多详情有待日后官方公布。另外，堀井雄二表示《Dragon Quest 12:The Flames Of Fate》将会全球同步发售。
