本作《Pokémon UNITE》是一款以「精灵宝可梦」为主题的团队竞技游戏，每场游戏都会分为红蓝两队，选择自己心仪的宝可梦展开 5VS5 的竞赛。在游戏过程中，玩家需要在限制时间内捕捉其他野生宝可梦获得点数，并将其带到对手区域点便可为队伍取得一分，时间结束后最高分数的队伍获胜，而在这期间玩家可以透过团队合作使用宝可梦技能干扰击倒对手阻止得分。
