Koei Tecmo announced this morning via X (formerly Twitter) that the release date for the upcoming Romance of the Three Kingdoms 8 Remake, originally scheduled for early 2024, is postponed to later in 2024. The game will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC (Steam).
In the announcement, Kazuhiro Echigoya and Hisatsugu Ishikawa, the producers, mentioned that as the first extensive remake within the Romance of the Three Kingdoms series, additional enhancements in quality were deemed essential to craft a game that would truly gratify the expectations of fans.
This upcoming remake is based on the 2001 release Romance of the Three Kingdoms 8 with Power-Up Kit. It will not only retain the strengths of the original, but also incorporates Koei Tecmo's latest technology to deliver enhanced visuals and a fully updated gameplay system. With over 20 years of history, Romance of the Three Kingdoms 8 Remake will stand as the latest installment in the series, bringing back the classic experience in a new light!
