Created by Gege Akutami, season 3 of the anime adaptation of Jujutsu Kaisen, titled Culling Game Arc, was announced yesterday after the broadcast of the final episode of the second season. A special teaser was also released along with the announcement.

The Culling Game Arc depicts a new conflict unfolding right after the Shibuya Incident, orchestrated by Kenjaku to advance humanity through the optimization of cursed energy. Participants have to engage in lethal combat using jujutsu during this deadly battle royale.

As of now, the broadcast window for season 3 has not been announced yet, but production continues to be handled by MAPPA.
