次世代版《The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt》（巫师 3：狂猎）针对原版基础内容进行数十项视觉、性能和技术改进，其中也包括了支援光线追踪、更快的加载等等，同时也追加了中文配音、拍照模式、快捷释放法印、新联动任务以及其他优化和修复等。
在游戏中，玩家会扮演主角猎魔人杰洛特在奇幻的开放世界中四处探索，寻找失踪的养女，期间会遇到怪物以及其他敌人的袭击。除此之外，每当玩家作出一个选择都会导致故事的走向不同结局，面对不同的后果。
