Along with the release of a 15-seconds trailer, it is announced that TV anime series My Clueless First Friend will premiere on April 9, 2023.

The anime is adapted from the manga series of the same name, created by Taku Kawamura.

Nishimura Akane, also known as the "Grim Reaper", is a recluse excluded by her classmates. However, there is but one peer who truly wants to befriend Akane — the clueless new kid Taiyou Takada who genuinely thinks that the "Grim Reaper" is a cool nickname. This is the story of an unusual but wholesome friendship between these elementary schoolers.
