As sad as it might sound, the Pokemon anime series that spanned for 25 years has finally concluded Ash and Pikachu's journey. Aired in Japan today, the finale of Pokemon Ultimate Journeys: The Series brings to a close the lengthy and sentimental goodbye that we've been experiencing for the past few weeks.
But that doesn't mean that the long-running Pokemon series will sunset with the duo's farewell, as the upcoming series Pokemon Horizons will begin airing next month, featuring a new cast of protagonists and their journey in the Paldea region of Pokemon Scarlet & Violet.
Pokemon Horizons stars Liko, a girl who wears a green jeweled necklace with the symbol resembling a Terastal Phenomenon, and her partner Pokemon Sprigatito. The series male protagonist is her friend Roy, who travels with his partner pokemon Fuecoco. Professor Friede, the Battle Professor, will also accompany their adventure along with his partner Pokemon Captain Pikachu. Pokemon Horizons willl premiere in Japan on April 14, with an hourlong special to kick off the series.
