At today's State of Play, not only was a brand new gameplay demo of Final Fantasy XVI released, but it was also confirmed that the well-known Japanese singer Kenshi Yonezu will create and perform the theme song for the game, titled "Tsuki Wo Miteita – Moongazing". A teaser for the song has already been released on YouTube, while the full version will be released simultaneously with the game on June 22.

In addition, Yonezu expressed that the Final Fantasy series has greatly impacted his life and he is honored to have this opportunity to collaborate with the series. Producer Naoki Yoshida also revealed that he is thrilled to work with Yonezu, as he is a fan of the singer, and believes that the theme song "Tsuki Wo Miteita – Moongazing" will be able to reflect the story and the world that the game seeks to create.
