After a few months of Eclipse, Apex Legends will welcome a grand Revelry.
Respawn Entertainment has announced that the Apex Legends: Revelry will commence on February 14. Season 16 will introduce a Class system rework, limited game mode Team Deathmatch, a new weapon, and more.
Unlike previous seasons, this time there won't be a new Legend. Instead, a new weapon named Nemesis joins the arsenal of Energy weapons. Nemesis is a four-rounds burst assault rifle that could be fired as long as you hold down the trigger. Its rate of fire will speed up the longer the trigger is held, and will stay charged for some time.
On the other hand, the Class system rework is meant to allow each Legend to carry out their specific Class roles more distinctively with new class perks and more specific classifications, instead of the current vague classification (hello Recon Pathfinder).
Other anticipated updates include the Team Deathmatch game mode. This limited-time mode will see a 6 v 6 shoot-out between two teams, with the team that wins three rounds winning the game.
Few weeks into the new season, there will also be a permanent rotating playlist called Mixtape, which contains a rotating roster of limited game modes such as the TDM, Control, and Gun Run.
In addition, a new orientation match system will be introduced to allow new players to learn the basics of the game. It will be its own separate queue where new players can invite their friends to play with or queue solo, and will also be the only mode that include bots to allow new players to get a grasp of the game before jumping into the lobby full of experienced players.
