After the TV anime reboot of the popular manga series Shaman King, created by Hiroyuki Takei, concluded its broadcast in April last year, it was officially announced that the series' sequel Shaman King Flowers, focusing on the son of Yoh Asakura and Anna Kyoyama, would be adapted into an anime.
Today, the official team has released the first trailer for the upcoming series and has confirmed that it will begin airing in January 2024.
In Shaman King, the wandering souls of the deceased, the spirits that inhabit the the land and the forests, and the noble gods and deities are all known as the "Great Spirit". In the human world, a small number of people are able to freely communicate with these spirits and manipulate powers that are beyond the reach of ordinary humans. These people are known as "shamans."
