According to Yoshimi Yasuda, the president of the Japanese developer Dragami Games, the design concept for their upcoming zombie-themed action game Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP has been changed from "Remake" to "Remaster" in response to fan requests.
While Yoshimi Yasuda has not disclosed the specific changes that transitioning from a "Remake" to a "Remaster" will entail, it's expected that the game may stay more faithful to the original. Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP is scheduled for release in August 2024, with specific platforms yet to be announced.
Lollipop Chainsaw revolves around the zombie hunter named Juliet as she combats hordes of zombies at San Romero High School. When the male protagonist, Nick, gets bitten by a zombie, Juliet decapitates him and carries his severed head, which remains alive, on her adventures. The zombie outbreak is the result of none other than Juliet's former classmate, the evil goth Swan.
