过去几年，Steam 都会在特定节日、或者季节性的时候举办特卖会，大批游戏都迎来折扣优惠，是玩家们的购物节，而近日 Steam 官方宣布会针对特卖会作出微小的改动，那就是从 2023 年开始，不再会有农历新年特惠，则是以春季特卖取而代之，作为四大季节特卖之一。
之所以会有这样的改动，主要因为农历新年特卖与 12 月的节庆特卖间隔太短，而且有不少开发者和发行商都要求增加春季特卖，这样的举动能够使四大季节的特卖有更长的间隔，让开发者们有充足的时间扩展筹备和执行折扣的时间表，对顾客们也更加有利。当然，游戏厂商也可以在农历新年期间，自定义折扣活动，所以就算没了农历新年特卖会，说不定厂商自己会为旗下游戏筹备相关活动。
此外，官方也公布了接下来的季节特卖会时程表：
秋季特卖：11 月 22 日至 11 月 29 日（PT）
冬季特卖：12 月 22 日至 1 月 5 日（PT）
春季特卖：3 月 16 日至 3 月 23 日（PT）
