由赤坂明创作的日本漫画作品《辉夜姬想让人告白》在 11 月 2 日发售的「周刊 Young Jump」49 号上正式迎来最终回，为连载七年半的作品画下落幕。而作者赤坂明今日也在推特上宣布，他本身将从「作画漫画家」的身份引退，全力专注在漫画原作编写的身份，例如他负责的另一部作品《【我推的孩子】》。
赤坂明在公告中表示，在连载的这个七年半里，他意识到了自身的不足，虽然不再是作画漫画家的身份，但是《辉夜姬想让人告白》还存在伏笔，之后将会以更完美的形态呈现出来。同时根据作者赤坂明在「周刊 Young Jump」的访谈内容中有提到，《辉夜姬想让人告白》未来可能会推出衍生作品或是其他改编作品。附带一提，《辉夜姬想让人告白》特别动画《永远不会消失的初吻》确定将在 12 月 17 日于日本上映。
