近日 Xbox 日本发行团队主管 Matt Smith 在推特上发帖透露，目前他的团队正在与日本顶级开发商展开合作，旨在打造具有开创性的项目，但暂时并无法得知究竟是什么样的项目或作品，也不确定是哪一家顶尖开发商与其合作。
除此之外，在推文底下 Matt Smith 还公布了许多 Xbox 日本发行团队的职缺，包括高级技术制作人、软件工程师、高级软件工程师和高级游戏构建工程师等等。虽然现在没有任何相关细节消息，可是先前有很多传闻指出 Xbox 将与小岛秀夫创立的 Kojima Productions 合作，而且这个工作室在日本也算是顶级团队的存在，不禁令人往这方面去猜测，当然准确消息还是有待今后 Xbox 官方亲自发表。
