At today's CAPCOM Spotlight livestream, Capcom announced the release date for the highly anticipated Monster Hunter Rise expansion titled Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak. The expansion will be available on April 28 for Playstation 4 / Playstation 5 / Xbox Series X&S / Xbox One / Microsoft Store, and will include all updates up to Ver.13. Additionally, the fifth free update for the game will be announced in April 2023.

The latest installment in the Monster Hunter series, Monster Hunter Rise, is developed using the RE Engine. The gameplay is similar to previous titles in the series, where players take on the role of hunters and take down various monsters to complete quests and collect materials for crafting armor and weapons. The game introduces new systems such as the "Wirebug Actions," "Wyvern Riding," and "The Rampage" mechanisms. Additionally, there are many new monsters for players to challenge, as well as other classic returning favorites.
