At the recent Sneaker Bunko 35th Anniversary Festa, it was officially announced that a new installment in the popular novel series Haruhi Suzumiya titled The Theater of Haruhi Suzumiya is currently in production. It was also revealed that the concert event "The Symphony of Haruhi Suzumiya Revival" is set to take place on January 20, 2024, marking the return of the concert after 15 years since the 2009 "The Symphony of Haruhi Suzumiya".
Haruhi Suzumiya centers around the experiences of Kyon, a high school student who crosses paths with Haruhi, an unpredictable classmate who is unaware that she possesses the power to reshape reality. Kyon is reluctantly recruited into her club, the SOS Brigade, which consists of an alien, a time traveler, and an esper. Their mission is to manage and resolve any unusual occurrences triggered by Haruhi while making sure she never discovers her extraordinary abilities.
