在今日举办的 PAX East 上，开发商 Gearbox Software 透露他们正在研发着《Tales from the Borderlands》系列新作，并即将于今年夏季正式发表，同时也会在今年内上市。
《Tales from the Borderlands》系列原版作品由 Telltale Games 负责制作，是款类似于《The Walking Dead》的叙事型互动冒险游戏，而即将发表的续作则会由 Gearbox 自家研发。此外，众所周知这系列当初也加入了一些《Borderlands 3》的角色，其所带来的的叙事方式并非射击游戏可以呈现的，而且开发团队非常喜欢这种叙述故事以及互动的创作方式，因此将会在新作中带来全新的故事、全新的角色以及全新的冒险之旅，并完全的以《Borderlands》世界观为背景舞台，更多细节有待官方今年夏季公布。
