DotA2 official Chinese commentator YammerS passes away at the age of 26

According to Weibo eSports, YammerS, a Chinese commentator for the official tournaments of Dota 2, has tragically passed away at the age of 26 by suicide. Prior to his passing, the commentator had scheduled a post as a farewell note, expressing his inability to let go of the hatred in his heart and reconcile with himself, ultimately choosing to end his life. The post mentioned past experiences of bullying, struggles with depression since middle school, and even attempted suicide with sleeping pills during his second year of junior high school ...

YammerS, whose real name is Mi Hongwei, was born in 1997. He started working as a commentator for Dota 2 tournaments in 2018. It is worth noting that the popular voice line from the in-game chat whell "再见了,宝贝儿" ("Goodbye baby") originated from him.
