Capcom 官方近日宣布，旗下作品《魔物猎人世界》全球总出货量和数字销量已超过 2,500 万份，其中包括了《魔物猎人世界：冰原》。本作最早于 2018 年 1 月 26 日发售，并登陆到 Playstation 4 & Xbox One 平台，后来于 2018 年 8 月 3 日推出 PC 版本。过了一段时间后，大型资料片《魔物猎人世界：冰原》也正式在 2019 年 9 月 6 日（主机） & 2020 年 1 月 9 日（PC）横空出世。
在 2024 年 3 月，《魔物猎人》系列迈入了第 20 周年，而且计划于 2025 年推出全新作品 —— 《魔物猎人：荒野》吸引了全球猎人的瞩目。根据官方所透露，目前《魔物猎人》系列的所有作品累计销量已超过 9700 万份。
