During the latest Digital Event of Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak, CAPCOM announced the a free bonus update will be released on June 8. This update will introduce the final monster, Primordial Malzeno, bringing the story of the game to a close. Furthermore, there will also be new Event Quests releasing on July 27, featuring various challenging  content and rewards for players to explore. It was also announced that the game's console versions (PS and Xbox) will receive a thorough content update on August 24.

According to the official introduction, Primordial Malzeno is Malzeno’s original form before it was tainted by the Qurio. Ordinarily, it uses its wings and tail with the elegance of a knight, but under the Qurio’s influence, it uses underhanded means of cornering its prey, and in its “Bloodlust” state it wields tremendous power. Because of the explosive energy corrupting its body, it sometimes shows behavior as if its struggling against an overwhelming force.

Players who wish to challenge the Primordial Malzeno will have to reach MR10 or higher in order to undertake the quest.
