在前阵子，Valve 就宣布旗下竞技游戏《DotA 2》的最大赛事 The International 10 将举办在瑞典的球形体育馆，但在近日官方发文表示，因为瑞典体育局的一些规定，他们被告知体育局联合会投票决定不接受电子竞技，并且要求瑞典内政部部长将 The International 重新归类为菁英体育赛事还遭到拒绝。此举也间接导致许多非欧洲地区的选手和工作人员难以取得签证，而且努力交涉多次无法获得任何正面结果。
所以 Valve 现在被迫考虑更改欧洲其他地区，举办时间依然会保持在今年内，至于会改去哪一个地方、是否会改期举行以及其他变更，有待 Valve 官方日后公布。
