Bandai Namco announced that the free-to-play multiplayer first-person shooter, Gundam Evolution, will be discontinuing its service on November 30. "Unfortunately, we have determined that it is no longer possible for us to provide a service that satisfies our players," said Kazuya Maruyama, the executive producer of the game.
This decision comes merely 14 months after its initial launch for PC (Steam) on September 21, 2022, and its subsequent release on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series on November 30, 2022.
Despite the impending end of service, the game is still going to see a couple of updates before its closure. On August 23, the Season 6 update is scheduled to introduce a new unit and two maps, while on October 25, the final season will be released, presenting a new unit and a map. Also, a final live stream titled Mission Briefing Final has been scheduled for July 22 at 2 PM (GMT+8).
