A few months ago, Dolphin Emulator, a software that allows users to play Nintendo GameCube and Wii games, announced its arrival on the Steam platform. However, possibly due to a prior incident involving the emulator leak of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kindom, Nintendo has taken a more stringent stance against emulators, which has even affected the plans for Dolphin Emulator's release on Steam.
According to recent statements from Dolphin Emulator's developers, their plans to release on Steam have been indefinitely postponed. This decision comes in response to an official notification from Valve, in which Nintendo, citing DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act), demanded the complete removal of Dolphin Emulator from the Steam storefront. The developers of Dolphin Emulator have stated that they will explore alternative solutions before providing a further response.
