The anime adaptation of 16-bit Sensation, a collaboration between three renowned artists: Tamiki Wakaki, the author of The World God Only Knows; Misato Mitsumi, the character designer of ToHeart2; and Tatsuki Amazuyu, the character designer of Utawarerumono, was officially announced at the Anime Japan 2023 event. The anime will be titled 16-bit Sensation: ANOTHER LAYER, and a promotional visual was also revealed.

The story of 16bit Sensation takes place in Akihabara during the autumn of 1990 and depicts the production of a beautiful girl game, allowing viewers to experience the generation's stories through the eyes of the protagonist, Meiko Uehara. However, it should be noted that the anime 16bit Sensation: ANOTHER LAYER is an original story supervised by author Tamiki Wakaki, featuring main character Konoha Akisato. The original protagonist, Meiko Uehara, is also depicted in the promotional visuals, suggesting a possible appearance in the anime.
