CAPCOM recently announced that the classic game collection Megaman Battle Network Legacy Collection, also known as Rockman EXE Advanced Collection in Japan, will release on April 14 for Playstation 4 / Nintendo Switch / PC. The collection includes all 10 games from the first to the sixth generation of Megaman, divided into Vol. 1 (including the first to third generations) and Vol. 2 (including the fourth to sixth generations).
During today's livestream event, it was officially announced that Megaman Battle Network Legacy Collection will support online communication functions for battles and trades with other NetBattlers. It will also include a full collection of Patch Cards that were only available during specific events, as well as the addition of the Buster MAX Mode feature.
In the later games of the Megaman Battle Network series, starting from Megaman Battle Network 4, there were Patch Cards that could only be obtained through physical cards. These cards were available for purchase in toy and game stores in Japan, as well as at various events. However, in this upcoming release, all 499 Patch Cards will be included in the game! Players will be able to use them in Megaman Battle Network 4, Megaman Battle Network 5, and Megaman Battle Network 6, as well as online battles.
In addition, the Patch Cards are also divided into different types, including the Patch Cards that can enhance Megaman, Item Cards that allows players to obtain items such as NaviChips sets and Zennys, Event Cards that require players to fulfill requests for special rewards, Character Cards that can be viewed in the Gallery, and Special Cards that allow access to limited cards that were previously only available from past events and other distributions.
As for Buster MAX Mode, it is a feature that can increase the power of Mega Man's Mega Buster by 100 times in story mode! Even without using battle chips, it can deal massive damage to enemies, making it ideal for players who want to progress through the story mode easily or who are busy. This feature can be turned on or off at any time from the menu screen. However, it will be automatically turned off during online battles.
