在今日举办的“Xbox & Bethesda”游戏发布会中，微软正式宣布旗下《Microsoft Flight Simulator》 40 周年纪念版将在 2022 年 11 月推出，若是此前就已经有购买本作或是拥有 Xbox Game Pass 的玩家将可以免费获得 40 周年纪念版。附带一提，《Microsoft Flight Simulator》中文版将在明天上线。
官方还宣布《Microsoft Flight Simulator》将与旗下人气作品《Halo》展开联动合作，此次联动合作的内容是《Halo》中登场的飞行载具“鹈鹕号”，凡是拥有游戏以及 Xbox Game Pass 的玩家现在开始可以在驾驶机型中进行免费领取。此外，在《Microsoft Flight Simulator》里，玩家万分期待的直升机也会加入在其中，同时还有一系列具有历史性的飞机加入。
