制作人 Neil Druckmann 表示，这款系列多人游戏与过往的单人游戏都有着相同的规模大小，甚至有些方面会更加庞大，而且为其作品带来了非常独特的故事叙述方式，同时也会迎来全新的角色以及不同的背景舞台。除此之外，本作将会由参与过《Uncharted》、《The Last of Us》的老手们，包括 Vinit Agarwal、Anthony Newman 以及 Joseph Pettinati 负责领导。
