在过去曾经负责制作过《Crash Bandicoot》系列的美国开发商 Vicarious Visions 近日正式宣布与暴雪娱乐合并，并且更名为 Blizzard Albany 工作室，而原本的开发团队会继续留在纽约州奥尔巴尼，致力于协助暴雪游戏的研发，其中包括《Diablo 4》。
这家原名为 Vicarious Visions 的开发商最早成立于 1990 年，是一家具有丰富经验的开发商，参与过的作品多不胜数。但在 2005 年时就已经被动视收购，负责各种游戏的重制工作，例如《Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2》，甚至还帮助过暴雪开发《Diablo II: Resurrected》。希望接下来合并入暴雪可以有更好的表现。
