Nintendo recently announced that its renowned game series, The Legend of Zelda, is set to receive a live-action film adaptation.
The film will be co-produced by Shigeru Miyamoto and Avi Arad, the President of Arad Productions Inc., known for their involvement in several major films such as Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, Uncharted, and Spider-Man: Homecoming.
Wes Ball, who directed the Maze Runner films, will be in charge of directing the movie.
It was also announced that for this live-action adaptation of The Legend of Zelda, Nintendo will cover more than 50% of the production costs, while Sony Pictures Entertainment will handle global distribution and co-financing.
