Despite its outstanding sales results before the game’s officially launch, developers of Hogwarts Legacy announced that there are currently no plans to develop DLC for the game.
Hogwarts Legacy was officially launched on February 10. The game has received “Very Positive” reviews on Steam so far, which seems that the game’s performance has met the pre-release expectations of players.
According to STEAMDB, it ranked 2nd on the number of concurrent users in the past 24 hours, second only to CS:GO.
In the face of Hogwarts Legacy’s success, director Alan Tew said that the team has been “heads down” on the launch of the game, thus there are currently no plans to develop DLC. (Source: IGN)
However, it doesn’t mean that the team will not continue to support the game post-launch: Avalanche Software has released a patch for the game a few days ago, including various optimization content.
Looking at the dazzling sales performance of Hogwarts Legacy and its popularity both pre- and post-launch, even if the development of DLC is not currently in the plans of the developers, it is hard to say whether they will continue to expand on the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
