NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros. Games have just announced the official reboot of Mortal Kombat 1, set to release on September 19, 2023, for Playstation 5 / Xbox Series / Nintendo Switch / PC. Players who pre-order the PS5 or Xbox Series versions will have the opportunity to participate in the beta test starting in August this year, while those who purchase the Premium or Kollector's Edition can also enjoy early access of the game on September 14.

Mortal Kombat 1 introduces a new era for the Mortal Kombat series with fresh combat systems, game modes, and Fatalities, allowing players to discover a reborn Mortal Kombat Universe created by Fire God Liu Kang. The confirmed roster of characters includes Liu Kang, Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Raiden, Kung Lao, Kitana, Mileena, Shang Tsung, and Johnny Cage, among others.
