Fans who were unable to attend the recent Hakurei Shrine Grand Festival in person need not worry, as the 19th installment of the popular bullet hell game series Touhou Project, titled Touhou Beast King Garden: Unfinished Dream of All Living Ghosts, created by Team Shanghai Alice, has now released a free demo version on Steam. The team also announced that the online multiplayer version is currently under development, with the full version expected to be released in August 2023.
Touhou Beast King Garden: Unfinished Dream of All Living Ghost will adopt the two-player split-screen style like the series' ninth installment Touhou: Phantasmagoria of Flower View, but it will be rebuilt in terms of graphics, controls, and bullets to make it more similar to the common Touhou Project games. The game's plot describes how the ownership of ancient land has become meaningless due to the open market. Without an owner, the land may become desolate, but don't worry, nature and spirits will occupy the land and restore its former prosperity. As long as no greedy beasts appear...
