在今日由 SEGA 举办的“RGG SUMMIT 2022”直播会面中，官方正式宣布在系列新作《人龙之龙 8》出来之前，会先推出《人中之龙 7 外传 英雄无名》的作品，在本作中玩家将再次操作桐生一马出任务，叙述第六代《人中之龙 6 生命诗篇》之后的故事。本作预定将在 2023 年发售，登陆 Playstation 4 / Playstation 5 / Xbox Series / Xbox One / Steam 平台。
