根据介绍所述，《Death Stranding Director’s Cut》除了拥有本篇内容以外，还追加了大量全新内容，包括全新故事剧情任务、新装备武器、新载具、新区域、新建筑、新敌人、新机器人、战斗系统更新、赛道竞速模式以及更多线上元素等等。至于性能方面，则会支持 DualSense 触觉回馈、自适应扳机以及两种画面模式可以选择，分别是 4K 60FPS 的效能模式以及 4K 原生保真模式。
